It’s no secret that I try to live a life without regrets. Every heartbreak, job, situation, or person was either a lesson or a blessing. Since becoming an adult one of my rules I try to remain faithful to is never say never.
It can set up resistance. Challenges are life. Challenges are fate. And it has the ability to close doors that God had planned for you. Never means limited thinking. And never usually means probably.
Sometimes when we express the word never, it is because we have prejudged something without experiencing it. In other situations, we say never because in the past a particular experience with a person or place was unpleasant. When we say never it means we’re expecting all similar experiences to be unpleasant. It doesn’t leave room for change or growth.
We all have to start with ourselves. It is time to walk the talk. Take a journey of making very difficult decisions. Start removing things from your life that are not filling your cup and adding things that bring joy into your life. Learn from the past. Trust yourself. Trust your experiences, even the ones that haven’t worked for you.
But please don’t say never. Stay open to everything God has in store for you.
Have a blessed weekend!
