Yesterday I was leaving the gym and I had a conversation that made me realize that I am in a happy place. I can’t recall exactly when I made the change but I know after 30, I stopped thinking and caring about other peoples thoughts of me. I’ve started to relax and become comfortable in my own skin. I have come to a place where I happy with where I am going in life, and become comfortable with Michael D. Gatson. Our bodies can help provide us with direction. When we are centered and balanced, our body will help show us what we really want to do. Last night I was in the bed thinking about life (my professional career, love life, my personal goals and what is next for me). As I get older I am learning how to be patient with myself. Last night I had a great time catching up with my friends and can’t wait until they arrive in DC in August. Life is about the people you meet on this journey of life, and the things you create with them. I’m grateful for my experiences, and people I have met on this journey of life. You can’t save time, so it can’t gain interest: So concentrate your interest in the present and savor every moment.
Example has more followers than reason. We unconsciously imitate what pleases us, and insensibly approximate to the characters we most admire. In this way, a generous habit of thought and of action carries with it an incalculable influence.
Clinging to the lessons, people, and feelings from yesterday will keep you tired, stressed, confused, and afraid. If you’re brave enough to say goodbye, life will reward you with a new hello.
The past two nights I have been talking with someone about pain, hurt, love, and how to heal from your past. Yes, we all have been hurt and have walls built up but it is important to open your hear to the universe. Let it bring you love and comfort. Let it bring you healing. Let it take you back to your past long enough to heal, so you can move into your joy.
