As a therapist, I am constantly dealing with various issues on a daily basis. Yesterday I was dealing with the topic of divorce and breakup. On this journey of life, we are faced with many losses. Ranging from people we have loved, jobs, house, car, money, or something we valued. If you are not careful you can even lose sight of your values, dreams, and goals. Searching for a quick fix is not the solution to avoiding feelings about your loss. When we are searching for instant gratification we often miss the lesson. In order to move forward we have to accept, and validate our feelings. Losses demand acceptance. Take the time to heal and you will meet new people along this journey. It is important to cherish the time alone to grow and learn.
